Can I take it from the freezer directly to the microwave?
Yes, for the glass body — microwaving is gradual heating and typically stays within the 120°C thermal shock limit. Do NOT transfer directly from freezer to oven or stovetop.
Why do I need to open the valve in the microwave?
Heating creates steam and pressure inside the container. Opening the valve allows steam to escape, preventing the lid from popping off or the container from warping. Always vent before microwaving.
Can I put the lid in the oven?
No. Only the glass body is oven-safe. Always remove the entire lid (glass lid or PP lid) before placing in the oven.
How do I remove the silicone seal for cleaning?
Gently pull the silicone seal out of its groove in the lid with your fingers. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry completely before pressing it back into the groove.
Is the glass really unbreakable?
No glass is unbreakable. Borosilicate glass is more resistant to thermal shock and impact than regular soda-lime glass, but it can still break if dropped or struck against hard surfaces. Handle with care.
Can I use it for meal prep and stack in the fridge?
Absolutely. Borohouse containers are designed for stackable storage — perfect for meal prep, leftovers, and batch cooking. Just make sure lids are fully sealed and valves are closed
